The location of the hotel was great, offering easy access to various day trips. The house had a charming character and the decor was pleasant. The owners were friendly and welcoming, providing a warm and cosy atmosphere. The breakfast was above average, with a good range of homemade choices. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had modern amenities.
The breakfast timings were quite early, which didn't allow for a relaxed morning lie-in. Additionally, the checkout time was a bit early.

Had a great Xmas break at this hotel. the warm and cheerful welcome from the staff really made us feel at home. the room was comfortable and clean, perfect for a cozy holiday. the location was also ideal, with plenty of day trip options nearby. the highlight of our stay was definitely the excellent food. the haggis stuffed chicken breast was a delicious surprise. a very enjoyable experience.
There were a few downsides to our stay. the dining room was a bit small, and tables were very close together, which made for an intimate but slightly cramped atmosphere.
